How do I wear my fragrances? This is a problem I would like to solve.
One day I had an epiphany, I can’t always afford, nor do I want to own, every single piece of fashion, makeup, and clothing I see. I want to enjoy a curated wardrobe of things that bring me joy and that I can rewear and finish. I do observe my relationship to capitalism, overconsumption, and shopping addiction. We all should. My hope is that I can help you build an outfit top to bottom that feels affordable, stylish, and fragrant.
Do coily-haired folks need all these steps?
In my opinion, I think taking the time to build a solid routine you can stick to consistently is better than a multi-step routine you can’t stick to.
Am I late to the party? Maybe. Have you heard of the Abbey Yung method?
Where is everyone getting their fashionable wide width shoes?
Large and wide feet run in the family so I have been shopping for YEARS in this department. I have been searching as of late where to find brands that I can shop and here are some new drops that I think are absolutely beautiful from brands I think are worth your dollars!
Sampling & decanting: The fragrance trend that should continue
People are not blindly buying fragrances anymore. They are sampling, decanting for friends and/or making a business out of it and companies are catching onto how marketable this is. Here’s why I think it should stay and some retailers I personally use.
A Fragrance nana-issance?!
In a fragrance space where everyone wants to smell like musks or rocket fuel (this is a joke) I want to smell sweet and exciting. When I saw Ellis Brooklyn put out this email image showing they were bringing back banana milkshake I thought…are we having a nana-issance?! Is this year and beyond going to have more fragrances with banana and banana-like notes? I hope so. I am here for it!
2026 fragrance launches I am actually excited about
This will keep growing and I will add links once products release.
Here is my criteria:
The fragrance notes MUST be interesting
It MUST be a brand or company doing something different than their normal output
There will more than likely be over 20,000 releases in 2026 alone I can’t document them all but I can make space for things I want and I think the audience would like to hear me talk about.
Feel free to reference my 25 fragrance notes I feel in love with this year [2025] to learn about notes that I gravitate to.
25 Fragrance notes I feel inlove in this year [2025]
With the fragrances that I fell in love with with these notes. You’ll easily see I am a gourmand LOVER. I like LOUD, sweet fragrances. I want my fragrances to evoke emotion and WOW my senses.
My focus was to make a list of fragrances that I own, worn, or tested and if its not listed I may tested it and didn’t like it. I hope this helps you to explore new fragrances and find seeminly recognizable notes in fragrances even if the fragrance doesn’t list it as a key note.
The photos are shoppable and earn comissions. I also want to add that I do have EXPENSIVE taste sometimes when it comes to fragrances. Shop sales, find inspired bys, and try not to blind buy even if these notes resonate with you too. Happy shopping!
2025 fragrances wrapped
This was HARD picking these fragrances. I wear tested, samples, purchased, and own over 400+ samples, decants, full bottles, and travel sizes of perfume. There is so many new fragrances to you as well as to me. Let’s discuss my top 15 and why.
The rating scale is based on the following criteria:
Longevity [How long does the fragrance last on skin?]
Wearability [Will the fragrance smell appealing to others?]
Unique [It needs to be different than whats already on the market.]
Affordability [The higher the cost the lower the possibility it will be to re-buy and I want others to be able to purchase it.]
